A set of Muir Woods photographs

I made these whilst on a hike in Muir Woods a few weeks ago, using an old Soviet-era Russian Helios 44 lens with a reversed front element. I usually find it very difficult to make decent images in the woods, where scenes tend to be so busy for someone like me who favors simple compositions. Thankfully, this experimental/modified lens can, on occasion, produce weird and interesting spherical aberrations that turn "busy" into "dreamy"...
