Two photographs I made this week on the Golden Gate Bridge

I’ve been doing a bit of testing with new (to me) photography lenses this week. I’m ditching my Hasselblad medium-format kit and will only use vintage manual-focus lenses on my Leica SL2 cameras moving forward.

So, over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been acquiring a complete set of lenses from three manufacturers: Carl Zeiss Jena (East Germany), Asahi Pentax Takumar (Japan), and Contax Zeiss (a West Germany-Japan collaboration)—all designed and manufactured in the 1960s and 1970s. And I am really loving the character and tonal qualities of these beautiful vintage lenses.

The two shots below are SOOC.
