The Transitory Nature of Flowers

I have been experimenting for a couple of years with different formats and presentation styles for this flower still life project. I am now happy with the prints I am producing, so I have been printing the first editions and will continue to add work here as the series progresses. The toning process of the gelatin silver prints involves selective bleaching of specific areas before toning, followed by additional rebleaching and retoning. This somewhat unpredictable process results in lovely, subtle split tones and hues of yellow, beige, and, occasionally, faint blue in the final prints.
